First Molar
Antonio's first molar tooth came in today. It's his ninth.
He also sat through two vaccination shots with nary a tear.
Combine this with his penchant for eye-gouging and head-slapping, and i think he has a fine career as a professional wrestler ahead of him.

Sleep breakthroughs
Antonio went to sleep three nights in a row without mom this weekend.
Friday night, when it was late enough, i just went to bed, and he eventually followed me in, climbed up (with help) and snuggled before passing out.
Saturday, he slept for seven hours straight after falling asleep sitting up and then a short carry to bed (without mom or me around, staying at his great aunt's house)
Sunday, he specifically directed me into the bedroom to put him on the bed so he could sleep.
This has all made me very very happy, as it means he's growing more comfortable being independent, and less afraid of falling asleep alone. It also means that Andy and i can find sitters and go out on dates with greater regularity.

smart as an octopus
In the last two weeks, Antonio has developed his masculine and feminine in equal proportion, learning to both high-five and give kisses.
His habits include: nursing while standing on his head, screaming if it gets too quiet, pretending to be hungry, and then totally losing interest in whatever food is offered to him.
He's definitely entering the stage of boundary testing, looking for reactions when he does things that he has previously been told not to do, or been prevented from doing. He's smart, but not quite as smart as an octopus yet. He might just need some suction cups grafted to his hands, but we'll never know for sure.
